St Matia Mulumba Mission Hospital is situated 50KM North East of Nairobi, Thika District. It is located within Makongeni Estate, 5KM from Thika Town off Garissa Highway. It was started as a small dispensary on 19th June 1994 as a dispensary offering only limited outpatient services.

It then grew to the level of hospital which was registered in 1996. The hospital has been growing tremendously and at the moment, it has specialised clinics such as Genecology outpatient clinic, Medical outpatient clinic, Pediatric outpatient clinic and other clinics such as the outpatient clinic, Dental clinic, MCH, PMCT, CWC, CCC and VCT, and an inpatient of 80 beds.

It is owned and managed by the Archdioceses of Nairobi. There is a management team that meets regularly and a governing board that reviews the progress of and activities of the hospital. St Matia Mulumba Mission Hospital is a leading mission hospital renowned for its quality care and compassion.
